The all-new X|Flux 5 boasts a powerful 5hp motor and impressive 3093 CFM. Auto-cleaning of the HEPA filter is accomplished by double-paddles that sweep the filter every 3 minutes of system use in a clockwise and counterclockwise action. Remote and LED drum light are standard. The X|Flux 5 is a full-size stationary, single-stage dust collection unit with a convenient 39-gallon drum on locking casters.

* Shop Setting Air Flow measured with hoses connected to inlet. See Performance tab for more details.
**The non-stick PTFE membrane has some disintegration after 200,000 cycles at the area where the cleaning paddles/arms touch the filter media. This does not largely affect the filtration efficiency. The HEPA filter media used on Laguna Cyclones are independently tested by an accredited 3rd party (TTRI). Designed with wide-spaced pleating to maintain optimum performance throughout filter lifespan.

The inlet port size is 8”. The inlet can be positioned on either the left or right side of the machine to fit your shop layout.
Yes. The X|Flux dust collector ship disassembled to avoid damage during shipping and requires assembly prior to use. You can view the assembly video below:
The C|Flux and P|Flux models are Cyclone style dust collectors while the X|Flux: 5 is a negative pressure collector. The X|Flux: 5 uses a reinforced cabinet to enclose the filter cartridge. Suction is applied to the outside of the filter creating the negative pressure around the filter. The reinforced cabinet includes a burst plate and deflagration vent to direct the pressure away from users in the unlikely chance of an overpressure event. The enclosed cabinet has sound dampening material surrounding the motor section at the top of the cabinet. The Xflux5 has the same type of automatic filter cleaning as the P|Flux machines. The X|Flux: 5 has higher CFM and smaller footprint.
Yes. You can empty and reuse the dust collection bags if desired. Replacement bags are available through dealers or on our website. These are sold in a package of 5 bags. The fine dust bag at the bottom of the filter can also be reused.
The “Inlet CFM” is the maximum CFM the X|Flux: 5 dust collector achieves at the inlet port. The “Shop Setting CFM” number provides a “real world” measurement with dust collection hose connection to the machine and measurements taken downstream.
The Xflux 5 filter cartridge is a HEPA filter that filters out 99.97% of particles with a size of 0.3 microns . The filter cartridge is cleaned with automatic filter cleaning which cleans dust out of the filter pleats so that it is ready for the next use.
The B|Flux dust collector is excellent at collecting dust, chips, and shavings from the source (bandsaw, tablesaw, planer, etc.). This helps keep the dust away from the moving parts of the machines to keep it from becoming airborne. We recommend a dual approach for shops:
Yes, the X|Flux: 5 comes with a remote control. Additional remotes can be purchased and paired with the Xflux 5 machine. Up to 5 remotes can be paired. Additional remotes are available on our website. The new remote includes a button for manual filter cleaning between the normal intervals.
Yes. The X|Flux: 5 dust collector is designed for use with ducted systems connected to several machines. You will want to connect an 8” main trunk line with 4” drops to each machine using blast gates to turn off collection to machines not in use to maximize CFM to the machine currently in use.
Our dust collectors are specifically designed and tested for woodworking dust, chips, and shavings and are designed to collect from woodworking machines. We have customers who use our dust collectors for many other applications such as plastics, paper, grinding dust, powder, and a wide range of other materials from various sources or machines. While our dust collectors may work well for these other applications, we do not have any testing data or connection information for these other uses. You will need to decide which unit would be best for your needs based on the CFM and how you intend to connect to your equipment.
No. The X|Flux: 5 machines use magnetic safety switches which are not suitable for aftermarket systems like the iVac system. Use of these types of systems will require bypassing the factory switches.
The X|Flux: 5 dust collector is designed for use with all woodworking machines. It works well with Tablesaws, Bandsaws, Jointers, Planers, Sanders, Router Tables, CNC machines, and more.
The inlet on the X|Flux: 5 is an 8” inlet. We recommend connecting your machine to ducting leading from the machines you are collecting from. Should you need to connect to machines with smaller outlets like miter saws or similar portable machines, we recommend stepping the 4” hose down with a reducer near the machine being connected to. Users may need to provide “bleed air” when stepping down to smaller sizes. This is accomplished by installing another inlet on a Y fitting that can be opened to introduce additional ambient air into the air-stream when collecting from smaller outlets. This additional air helps to keep up the velocity in the 4” hose and keeps the impeller from starving for airflow when connected to small ports.
New woodworking machines sold by Laguna Tools carry a two-year warranty. Machines sold through dealers must be registered with Laguna Tools within 30 days of purchase to be covered by this warranty. Laguna Tools guarantees all new machines sold to be free of manufacturers’ defective workmanship, parts and materials. Details are available on our Warranty page.

Yes, the X|Flux: 5 dust collector is CSA inspected and certified. The CSA certification means it has been tested against applicable North American standards requirements and is widely accepted by many government and code officials, regulatory and regulation bodies, leading retailers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). The CSA mark demonstrates that a product has been rigorously tested to applicable standards. These include standards written or administered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), CSA Group (CSA), NSF International (NSF), and other North American and global organizations
The remotes are RF (radio frequency) rather than the IR (infrared) type used by other manufacturers. The RF remote controls do not require line-of-sight like IR remotes. This allows them to be used through many walls. An additional benefit is that they do not affect fluorescent shop lighting.
The X|Flux: 5 is not supplied with a cord or plug. You will need to select and purchase separately a cord and a plug that matches your shop outlets. Common plugs are readily available at most home improvement stores.
