Can’t say enough about the SmartShop EX 150 Laser that we recently purchased. Lasers can be a little finicky. The machine is great, but the phone support we got from Braden today was far and away the best that I’ve ever had. Braden was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. Walked me through a lens alignment today and explained it in a way that made sense!
I had a training session with Murphy Limon on using Lightburn with my new Laguna Laser. During the phone con training I accidentally didn’t position the depth gauge over my wood and the laser kept going down…crushing thru the wood and making the laser table crooked. I panicked during all of this and tried to shut off the air and blew the air hose off as well. On the other hand Murphy, never panicked, but very calmly walked me thru everything. I thought I had broken this machine but Murphy calmed me down re-leveled the tray and off we went again. He stated on the phone with me as I struggled to connect the air hose and fix everything that I had broken. Murphy got me going and I finally made my first basic design and then cut it out. He gave me just enough to get me started and will touch base with me in a couple of months. He was a fantastic teacher during a crisis.
Adam Ring has been helping me work through the process of purchasing CO2 laser. He’s detailed, efficient and focused on providing information that I actually want—he doesn’t try to up-sell. I value this greatly when dealing with any form of customer service. He has given me a lot to think about and I look forward to dealing with him throughout the course of this process.
Recently I had a toolpath processing problem. Tylor Tobey at Laguna tech support advised me of a Post Processing configuration file update for my Laguna IQ. Once I installed it everything works great. He also helped me out with and expedited a part for another small problem on the machine. Great prompt service from Laguna support!
Just received the new SmartShop M!!! Man it’s a pretty thing… As I’m completely new to CNC, I had a few startup hitches and more questions than I should be allowed to ask but the guys at Laguna were with me every step of the way. Amazing support! Big shout outs to Matt Haviland. (Oorah!) who has been in the fox hole with me since first inquiring about the machine and provided all the assurance I needed to move forward with LagunaTools and Tyler Tobey for providing exceptional technical support when we ran into some early G-Code snags. These guys really took the time to work through anything I could throw at them and QUICK. SIX STARS ALL AROUND!
I contacted support when the spindle on my IQ series router had an issue. After initial confusion about what model router I actually had, Tyler Tobey called me right back. He told me they had a spindle in stock and it was under warranty so they would ship it out asap. The part got here and we’re back up and running.
Had a warranty issue with my Laguna SS2 CNC, and Tyler came to the rescue. The tech response at Laguna is second to none with a quick response time and knowledgeable and helpful techs. Would highly recommend Laguna Tools.
I am very impressed with the Laguna Smartshop M I bought for my guitar making business. I highly recommend working with Grant Merryman as a salesman. He was very responsive and patient with all of my questions, concerns, and trouble shooting when I first got the machine. It took some practice and mistakes to get used to, but the support staff was very helpful. They have started making YouTube videos that help a lot. I have owned other brands and I am very happy with my Laguna CNC!
This s my first review I have ever written for a company, but it is well deserved. I had a question about a mistake I made on my CNC and needed to get the problem resolved extremely fast. I bought a Smart Shop II for my sign shop in late 2015. The value compared to the competition is remarkable. The software is easy to use, the introductory training that came with the CNC Router was outstanding and the support and sales service after the purchase have been great too. If I had it to do over, I’d make the same decision!
I purchased a laser engraver from Laguna. maybe a bit too big for a hobbyist, but no regrets at all. Laguna really knows how to make their equipment and with the assistance of their staff who have been nothing but helpful. I bought my Laguna Swift 4×8 Vacuum used and was only in service for a couple months. It ran off three phase and Laguna walked me through the process of rewiring it which was an easy process. Had some troubleshooting issues with our Laguna Smartshop II regarding some alarm/error codes that kept stopping our machine. We contacted Tyler Tobey and he was very helpful and responded promptly via email and over the phone. We eventually discovered the source of the issue and corrected it. We purchased a CBX 3652 Fiber laser cutting machine 1000 watt From Laguna Tool. This fiber optic laser is awesome. Does a great job cutting Steel, Alum. & Stainless steel. We are more than happy with this machine. It took us a few weeks to iron out all the bugs, But we had Adam Chapman there the whole way. Adam was always available to answer any questions we had. Whenever we needed tech support we would contact Adam and he would get back to us right away. Even with a 3 hour time difference, Adam always got right back to us. Adam was also able to write a program for us, so we could cut the Metal slats for the bed of the laser. We are a precision Sheet metal shop in PA and we are very happy with the Laser and the tech service we receive. Without the support of Adam, this would have been a very difficult time. Thank you to Laguna tool for a great machine and a Service tech that actually get back to you timely and cares.
I bought a SmartShop II late last year. We are a small shop in Northern California and I have put this machine through some very long days. I have cut cabinet parts out of 38 sheets of plywood in one day. This machine performed great. We have a few hiccups along the way but the service department was right on it and had the machine back online in no time. If you a small cabinet shop and you are looking for a machine that will cut productivity I would highly suggest this machine. I have had cheaper
machines in the past that didn’t perform at all to what the manufacturer said they would so be very cautious about the cheap machines, they will cost you far more than they are worth.

After several days trying to figure out an issue with my laser one of their techs took less than 30 minutes over phone and emails to fix the problem. Customer service has definitely has improved in three years since first I worked with them. Thanks Murphy for the help!
I purchased a SmartShop 2 SUV (my first CNC router) a little over a year ago for my cabinet shop. I’ve been running it almost daily for about 14 months. I can’t imagine not having it. It quickly became a critical piece of equipment in the shop. After about a year of use, I had a problem with a gear box. Laguna’s Tech Support (Josh) helped to diagnose the problem and get me back up and running quickly. When I buy another CNC router, I expect it will be another Laguna.
I sell Laguna tools as a distributor and I recently had a great experience. My customer bought a cnc and was having some issues. This is not the most expensive machine Laguna sells by any means, but Adam Ring recognized the value in top notch service, and flew a tech out to my customer for a two day training and set up, absolutely free. I will continue to sell and support Laguna tools, especially knowing they have someone like Adam Ring at the helm of their customer service department.
I am a small woodworking business adopting a CNC hasn’t always integrated so easily yet has become crucial to my work. Having a component go out in the middle of a project is never practical, especially so far out in the middle of the pacific ( hawaii). Everybody at laguna is out to help you. Through the cheery receptionists and the knowledgeable, patient, and thoroughly hardworking technical staff I was able to identify my issue, replace component, and have it all updated and running before my deadline. Thanks again laguna for standing by your product so many years after the purchase and ensuring its productivity to this day.
P.S. Whoever is in charge of payroll should see that Angel Rodriguez gets a raise because without his extra effort i would still be on the phone and no where near this optimistic.

Recently purchased a SSM CNC, Chris Cold was a very good salesman and it is great having an east coast division in my home state. We loved the demo area and office. Delivery was perfect and the entire process went smoothly including the training. Set up documents and manuals are very descriptive and helpful. We had it up and running before our first training session. We are building a business around what we can do with the SSM, and so far it has proven to be a great machine at a great price. Looking forward to purchasing more equipment from Laguna in the future.
Had an error code on my CNC machine and didn’t know what to do. Called Laguna and was told a tech would contact me. I received a call from Tyler Tobey 15 minutes after calling Laguna. He was great!! Got my machine up and running again. He also answered all my questions and was very helpful.
We run a commercial casework company and recently updated our facilities with a CNC Router from Laguna Tools. It has been a phenomenal experience since the beginning. Customer service, particularly Steve A., has been nothing but helpful. A lot of hours have been put on our machine the past six months and we are completely satisfied! I purchased the Laguna IQ HCC a little over a year ago. I’m using Vectric’s VCarve Pro and Aspire software with it. So far I have had zero issues with this machine. It is accurate and easy to use. All I can say is that the IQ is awesome.
Awesome CNC router! We use if for our prototype designs and it has worked well and saved us a lot of time.
A bit of a learning curve, but…easy to do and the folks at Laguna are great!!
