Introducing mike rhode woodworking, LLC. - Woodworker and local minnesota businessman
Located in Minnesota, Mike Rhode is the owner and sole proprietor of Mike Rhode Woodworking LLC. Specializing in custom wood products, Mike Rhode says, "My passions lies where art and science collide in the creation of custom wood products," here. He first got into woodworking in middle school then continued learning in high school. Because of this early start, he then took his skills to college, where he spent four years studying his craft.
From his own bed, dresser, and nightstand to a myriad of other wood projects, Mike graduated from Dunwoody with a two year mechanical design degree. With this massive achievement, Mike assembled his own wood shop in his hometown in Minnesota. After eight years he was able to turn his hobby into a business. As a result of his hard work, he was able to have income enough to support himself with this woodworking business to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Since his first woodworking project in middle school, Mike has been continuing his passion for seventeen years in Minnesota.
Equipment mike rhode uses
After doing extensive research on what machines were best to use for woodworking, Mike settled on a 14|12 Laguna Bandsaw to start with. He then added a SuperMax 19-38 Drum Sander for efficient and quality project completion. The bandsaw greatly helped Mike enhance his passion for woodworking. And with the addition of the Drum Sander, cutting, sanding, and producing quality products that he was proud of became second nature. Because of the 14|12 bandsaw and Drum Sander, Mike is able to produce more cutting boards and cribbage boards - his specialty. Though he loves his Laguna machines, he plans on expanding his shop further and stay in Minnesota - hopefully with more Laguna machines!
