The core responsibilities for this position are the day-to-day tasks of receiving, inventory, material movement, final boxing and shipping of products.

Job Description:

  • Counting all incoming shipments and communicating any discrepancies
  • Shipping and receiving products
  • Labeling shipments and updating customer’s records
  • Counting inventory on a quarterly basis
  • Unloading and loading shipping containers
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Operating a forklift (We will certify)
  • Crating products as needed
  • Other tasks as needed.

We are seeking a hands-on staff accountant to perform daily accounting activities including month-end, improve systems and procedures, implement corrective actions and assist in all areas relating to financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Account Receivable collections; assist to resolve customer inquiries, assign credit limits
  • Apply check and ACH cash receipts; process customer refunds, process remote deposits
  • Approve sales orders and assist to coordinate workflow, handle RMA’s in conjunction with

the operations group.

  • Process credit card deposits, credit card disputes and track credit card transactions
  • Reconcile and maintain fixed asset schedules, implement capitalization policy.
  • Document inventory receipt and costing workflow of inventory
  • Work with Controller to ensure a clean and timely year end audit, tax returns, property tax returns
  • Assist to develop and implement new procedures/policies to enhance workflow of department
  • General account analysis, including bank reconciliations, monthly accruals and journal entries
  • Prepare & maintain SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for all duties
  • Support annual budget preparation and revenue & expenditure variance analysis
  • Perform other various assignments as needed

 

Preparation:

  • BA/BS in Business with emphasis in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • Professional, patient and level headed, mature personality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment
  • Thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Relationship building skills both internal & external
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • NetSuite knowledge, required
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office

Director of Operations – Roll up your sleeves!

This newly created position is vital due to the dynamic, fast paced growth of our company. We have a critical need to re-evaluate our policies and procedures, while establishing department, division and facility metrics to measure the efficiency of the company to improve the bottom line. The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a highly energetic, business casual but professional work environment.

This position will also be responsible for growing profitability, productivity, and efficiency through departmental and divisional metrics and the execution of the organization’s goals and strategies.

In it’s CORE, this position will be the “ hands-on analytical efficiency expert” that will serve as the strategic driver to establish department metrics, execute cost efficiencies and evaluate operational performances throughout the company.

Become THE liaison with existing teams to improve operations, gross margins, manage expense budgets, present findings and track and measure performance to report variances each month.

This one person department role will have full P&L responsibility, review operating costs and product quality, and be accountable for continuous improvement of service levels with a focus on improving customer service while keeping costs in line.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initially the candidate will work with Executive Team to develop cost savings policy and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the operation and each facility. Once the Operations Manager is fully versant in the day-to-day operations this position will report directly to the COO.
  • Participate in corporate strategic planning.
  • Provide leadership, including influencing to ensure all divisions meets and exceed customer expectations and company objectives.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing for added functionality, plan deployments for releases and features for existing and new product offerings.
  • Establish and direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business and financial goals.
  • Implement budget and forecast adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor department(s) performance metrics against company goals, by establishing operational objectives and work plans.
  • Establish, enhance and monitor performance reporting systems and submit relevant monthly operating data to Executive Committee
  • Review selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Analyze control measures regarding expenses ensuring all measures are within company guidelines by monitoring and approving expenditures
  • Ensure processes meet or exceed technical and business requirements.
  • Track and promote productivity and efficiency.
  • Analysis and implementation of investment in systems, including adequate training for ERP system (NetSuite), to ensure business operation efficiencies, scalable business infrastructures, critical reporting and forecasting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years of experience with progressive career advancement
  • Experience delivering and executing in a highly complex and demanding business environment.
  • Understanding of basic financial, budget, and forecasting metrics.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven hands-on approach to management.
  • Results-oriented; ability to thrive in highly dynamic, time sensitive environment.
  • High level of critical, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
  • High sense of urgency and capability in handling multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, written and presentation skills.
  • Some basic manufacturing experience, a plus.
  • Netsuite ERP software a bonus.
