Home / Classic Machines / Dust Collectors / C|Flux: 1
For the popular C|Flux cyclone dust collectors, we’ve kept the user-friendly aspects of the previous generation while adding smart new features to improve the user experience. Among the upgrades is a dual-paddle filter cleaning design, and a max level indicator to increase filter longevity. The iconic octagonal drum grows to an impressive 46-gallon capacity on the C|Flux 2 and 3 models, and the newly redesigned 3-piece drum construction requires far fewer joints and fasteners cutting assembly time, while the locking casters provide additional stability.

The inlet port size is 6”. It comes with a splitter that fits over the 6” inlet. The splitter has two 4” inlets so that you can connect multiple hoses to the machine. We recommend installing blast gates on each side so that you can control which machine you are collecting from when multiple machines are connected.
Yes. The C|Flux dust collectors ship disassembled to avoid damage during shipping and requires assembly prior to use. You can view the assembly video below:
For Pre-2022 models, view the video below:
Yes. You can empty and reuse the dust collection bags if desired. Replacement bags are available through dealers or on our website. These are sold in a package of 5 bags. The fine dust bag at the bottom of the filter can also be reused. Replacement bags for the filter can also be found on our accessories site.
The “Inlet CFM” is the maximum CFM the C|Flux dust collector achieves at the inlet port. The “Shop Setting CFM” number provides a “real world” measurement with dust collection hose connection to the machine and measurements taken downstream.
The C|Flux filter cartridge is a 1 micron filter. The filter cartridge is easy to clean using the included filter cleaning handle. A few quick turns of the handle cleans dust out of the filter pleats so that it is ready for the next use.
The C|Flux dust collector is excellent at collecting dust, chips, and shavings from the source (bandsaw, tablesaw, planer, etc.). This helps keep the dust away from the moving parts of the machines to keep it from becoming airborne. We recommend a dual approach for shops:
Yes, the C|Flux comes with a remote control. Additional remotes can be purchased and paired with the C|Flux machine. Up to 5 remotes can be paired. Additional remotes are available on our website.
The C|Flux dust collector is designed for direct hose connections to individual machines, although many users have small ducted systems for a few machines. We recommend dust collectors with higher CFM ratings like the C|Flux:3 and P|Flux:3 series machines for ducted systems. If you choose to connect multiple machines with ducting, you will want to remove the splitter to connect a 6” main trunk line with 4” drops to each machine using blast gates to turn off collection to machines not in use to maximize CFM to the machine currently in use.
Our dust collectors are specifically designed and tested for woodworking dust, chips, and shavings and are designed to collect from woodworking machines. We have customers who use our dust collectors for many other applications such as plastics, paper, grinding dust, powder, and a wide range of other materials from various sources or machines. While our dust collectors may work well for these other applications, we do not have any testing data or connection information for these other uses. You will need to decide which unit would be best for your needs based on the CFM and how you intend to connect to your equipment.
No. The C|Flux machines use magnetic safety switches which are not suitable for aftermarket systems like the iVac system. Use of these types of systems will require bypassing the factory switches.
The inlet on the C|Flux: 1 is a 6” inlet. It is supplied with a 2-way splitter that fits onto the 6” inlet. The splitter has two 4” inlet ports. We recommend using a 4” diameter dust collection hose with this machine. Should you need to connect to machines with smaller outlets like miter saws or similar portable machines, we recommend stepping the 4” hose down with a reducer near the machine being connected to. Users may need to provide “bleed air” when stepping down to smaller sizes. This is accomplished by installing another inlet on a Y fitting that can be opened to introduce additional ambient air into the air-stream when collecting from smaller outlets. This additional air helps to keep up the velocity in the 4” hose and keeps the impeller from starving for airflow when connected to small ports.

Yes, the C|Flux dust collector is CSA inspected and certified. The CSA certification means it has been tested against applicable North American standards requirements and is widely accepted by many government and code officials, regulatory and regulation bodies, leading retailers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). The CSA mark demonstrates that a product has been rigorously tested to applicable standards. These include standards written or administered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), CSA Group (CSA), NSF International (NSF), and other North American and global organizations
The remotes are RF (radio frequency) rather than the IR (infrared) type used by other manufacturers. The RF remote controls do not require line-of-sight like IR remotes. This allows them to be used through many walls. An additional benefit is that they do not affect fluorescent shop lighting.
Yes. The C|Flux: 1 has a dual-voltage motor that can be operated on either 110 or 220 volt power. To change from 110 to 220 volt power, you will need to rewire the circuit boards (2022 and up) and change wiring at the motor. The C|Flux/P|Flux 110V TO 220V Overload Protector (SKU: PDCCF15110-220-OV) will also be needed for the conversion and can be found on our accessory site. Instructions can be viewed and downloaded here (pg. 13).
